Mad TV

I give them a lot of credit going up against SNL, they definitely have better reoccuring characters:

1) Miss Swan
2) Antonia
3) Dixie Wentworth & the Pool Boy
4) Molina and Lida
5) The Vancome Lady
6) Dollar Bill and the Real Motherf***in' News

I'd put them up against Mary Catherine Gallagher, the 'Lovahs', the Roxbury guys and those music teacher people anyday!

I am just happy in this day and age that I can tape both shows - SNL & Mad TV and then watch them both on tape later. There are so many sketches and characters that tickle me fancy.

Who's the character that throws up? The woman with the repressed emotions. She's played by Mo Collins.

i disagree. i am not a huge fan of mad tv. i generally dont laugh at that show. half the cast annoys the hell out of me. i made a comment awhile back that i wanted to be on the show to help them straighten things out.

i dont know, i think i would have rather seen them keep SNL over mad tv, mad tv is funny, but it gets old quick, they dont have much of a variety for sketches. but some shit is funny for sure. but i think SNL is still better for variety's sake

I am not impressed with Mad TV at all. Saturday Night Live wasn't that much better, but I find Mad TV to be extremely annoying most of the time and rarely funny.

I love Miss Swan! But I also love MANGO...*sigh*

Hm? Oh, yeah. SNL vs. Mad T.V. I find myself flipping back and forth these days. I love seeing reruns of older SNL episodes. (Just saw saw one with Jay Leno as the guest host. Damon Wayans was on, and still had hair!) :P I still think the Original "Not Ready For Prime Time Players" were the best!

Will Farrell makes me want to puke!

Is it just me or does stephanie weir's voice sound the same for every character? Even when she tries to change it, it still has that squeakyness to it.

SNL needs to revamp the cast and the writing team. This season sucks. Mad TV is good, but I think they are taking cues from SNL instead of sticking to the book its from.

I don't know, I just don't find Mad TV as humorous most of the time. I mean there are some things that make me chuckle, but for some reason SNL can usually make me laugh a little bit harder.

same here, i'm thinking cause its not live and isn't if front of a real audience. the spontinaity is what makes a comedy show funny... in my opinion

        Yeah....
I didn't know either of those things and I still just don't like it as much. Sure, it's funny and all. But...I don't know. It doesn't do it for me.
