ok, i like Jon Stewart, but i fuckin hate this show so much, its stupid and pointless, offers no real view on anything. it just spews out stupid ass stories that sometimes are so rediculous that they arent even funny at all.

Sat, March 20, 2004 - 1:54 PMI couldn't disagree more. Jon Stewart is brilliant. The scripted stuff the writers come up with is good. However, his off-the-cuff abilities are peerless.

Sat, March 20, 2004 - 2:07 PMI friggin love Daily Show. Anyone see the one a few weeks back where they were interviewing this lady and she called the show on how they edit everything to make people look stupid. I about pissed mah pants. I wish I had a better memory as to who interviewed her, but he denied it and then it went into major editing mode. It was great. -

Sat, March 20, 2004 - 3:15 PMI love the Daily show, and I love all of his fellow 'cast members' if you will. Steve cober...whatever all their names are for the episode. Remember when Steve Cober (it think, only name i can remember at the moment) went into the christian shop and asked if they had GTA? "Do you have that GTA game, where you kill hookers and run people over?"
Priceless.

Sun, March 21, 2004 - 2:47 PMyeah, most people like this show, i dont at all, i just dont find it funny for some reason, i think cause its to childish at times, some skits are funny. but keep in mind, Jon Stewart doesnt write anything for this show, he reads cue cards and occasionally will throw in some comments on his own

Re: the Daily show
Wed, March 31, 2004 - 8:41 AMThe sarcatic irony of the show is that it offers no real view on anything. People on one "real news" show say their opinion and try to brainwash its viewers where people on the next "real news" show try to push their opposite view on their mindless tv watching drones. If you can watch the Daily Show and get the joke that it is all a joke whether it is real or not, then I think you will be able to enjoy it more.
Don't take life and or news so seriously...you will appreciate them both more if you don't.
peace,
~Lauren -

Re: the Daily show
Wed, March 31, 2004 - 9:31 PMI love the Daily Show when I get a chance to watch it. I agree with your comment. The joke is that it attempts to make us realize how silly most of the stuff in the "real news" really is. It's satirical. And yes John Stewart reads cards, but how many people in movies and on TV actually write the material? He is an intergral part of the shows personality. It's his personality that makes the show.
Peace...
